Terms of Service
Last updated: June 10, 2026
These terms govern sod supply and installation services provided by First Coast Sod ("we," "us," or "our") to you ("the customer"). By booking, you agree to these terms.
Quotes & Pricing
- Quotes generated on our website are estimates based on the square footage and variety you provide. Final pricing is confirmed before installation.
- Pricing is per pallet (1 pallet = 450 sq ft). We round up to the nearest full pallet — never down.
- Minimum order is one pallet (450 sq ft).
- Quoted prices include sod material, installation labor, delivery, and project management as itemized.
Booking & Deposits
- A 50% deposit is required to reserve your installation date, paid securely via Stripe.
- The remaining 50% balance is due on completion of the installation.
- After booking, we will contact you within 2 hours to confirm your install date.
Cancellation & Refunds
- You may cancel up to 48 hours before your scheduled install date for a full refund of your deposit.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled date may forfeit the deposit, as sod is a perishable product ordered specifically for your job.
- If we cannot complete your installation due to our own scheduling, you receive a full refund.
Site Readiness
The customer is responsible for ensuring the installation area is accessible and clear of debris, old turf removal (unless quoted), and obstructions. Additional prep work not included in your quote may incur extra charges, agreed in advance.
Warranty
Proper watering after installation is essential for sod establishment and is the customer's responsibility. We provide care instructions at completion. We are not liable for sod failure due to inadequate watering, irrigation issues, or pest damage after installation.
Field Adjustment Clause
If site conditions or the actual square footage differ materially from the information you provided at the time of quoting, we reserve the right to adjust the final price accordingly. Any adjustment will be communicated and agreed upon before work begins.
Underground Utility Waiver
You are responsible for disclosing the location of all private underground utilities (including but not limited to irrigation lines, pet fencing, low-voltage lighting cables, and septic systems) before installation begins. First Coast Sod is not liable for damage to undisclosed private lines.
Perishability Clause
Sod is a perishable, living product. Once cut and delivered, it has a limited viability window. We are not liable for sod deterioration resulting from site conditions, extreme weather, or delayed installation beyond our agreed schedule. Warranty applies to installation quality only, not to sod viability after our work is complete.
Insurance & Compliance
First Coast Sod is fully insured and bonded. We operate in compliance with all applicable Duval, St. Johns, Clay, and Nassau County requirements. Florida does not require a contractor's license for sod installation.
